Hayle Meyerhoff*
Hayle Meyerhoff is a graduate of Haverford College, who also has a concentration in Peace, Justice, and Human Rights. She learned about the project through a course she took at Swarthmore called ‘Reparations and the Laws of Slavery,’ and was excited to join the project in the Spring of 2019. She is a leader of the Haverford Outdoors Club, a proud member of the Philly women’s rugby team, and also enjoys working at Yellow Springs Goat Farm on the weekends. Her PSP research focused on campus culture around race during the civil war, specifically looking at the Zelosophic society publications. Going forward, she hopes to hone in on particular poems in the publications to examine the war's impact on Penn student discourse.
