Anna Lisa Lowenstein*

Anna Lisa Lowenstein graduated from Penn in 2021 as a Political Science and History double-major. Her interest in archival research and appreciation for the deeply important work of this project led her to join in the fall of 2018. Her research has focused on Penn's early trustees and their enslaved people. More recently, she has been looking at the post-Civil War era of Penn Medical School and investigating how the school altered its curricula, policies, and admission criteria to reflect the evolving racial dynamics of the United States.
